About THE STORMY CHRONICLES
The STORMY Chronicles (TSC) is amnosNET's official news, articles, reviews, and other stuff that you can read about) blog sit. The name was changed from its former name AMNOS Readables, only because it sounded more "original" than its former. It is, as you can see, in weblog format, therefore every single article that you read here are all being dated and timed that this particular article had been posted. This will also be completely replacing the ARASHI News section in the homebase, therefore you will only see site updates in there from now on. This blog was opened sometime in February 2004.
Readers can also get interactive with the site by posting comments on the articles. They can be positive, they can be negative, but just to be sure that they are not insulting. This site is designed for Arashi fans (and those who are just curious) who do not regularly post in message boards or LJ communities, as well as those who just want to catch up with what they're missing in Arashi's days. We hope you all enjoy being here!
TSC used to be a one-person blog, but because of all the good stuff going on with Arashi 24/7, it was impossible for one person to write everything all at once. Because of this, TSC is now run by a staff of fellow Arashi fans with passion for writing, translating, reporting, promoting, and designing altogether. What you will find in TSC
The articles and entries are all categorized by different categories that you can choose from. They are all located at the right column right next to the actual text column. They could be to your left side or to your right side, depending on the layout that was used.
Below are descriptions of the article categories so you won't get lost and confused.
+ ANNOUNCEMENTS & UPDATES - The entries under this category primarily provides technical news and information regarding TSC and the blog's functionalities and additions, such as a new category, new feature added, and so on.+ COMMENTARY - The entries under this category are basically just personal opinion or random thought relating to the current events that has been going on with specifically ARASHI. This is all STRICTLY PERSONAL OPINION, not official reviews, so if you disagree with what are said with these entries, you may feel free to comment (in a tasteful manner of course) and we'll clarify for you.
+ CONCERTS - Self-explanatory. Anything relating to concerts such as fan concert reports, official news, dates, etc.
+ EDITORIALS - Anything relating to Arashi, Johnny's, J-Pop industry, or any other random topic that can be connected to Arashi or the entertainment industry in general. Editorials can also be about anything "personal" thoughts from the writers that are more or less related to Arashi or the fandom itself. For example, one of us may want to write about fanfics or fanart or even how we feel about certain Arashi fans who always view the members in "yaoi" mode (and I personally still ask myself why...).
+ FOR THE HARDCORE - Here is a new category in which we will be posting up translations of articles from the (rather rare) ARASHI FC (Fanclub) NEWS BROCHURES. A few of us TSC peeps are fanclub members and every season, we receive one FC brochure featuring special articles that Arashi has written themselves (and interviewed each other pretty much). Since they only arrive to us fanclub members every season, the translations of these are seasonal too.
+ FROM THE PRESS - These are general article translations from newspapers, news sites, magazines, and other publications.
+ MOVIES & STAGE - Self-explanatory, only that it deals with Arashi's (or one of the members) movies and stage performances. This DOES NOT include CONCERTS because as you know, these dudes can also ACT on STAGE PLAYS (duh!). Concerts and Stage Plays are NOT the same thing!!
+ OFFICIAL STUFF - If any one of us writers do get our hands on one of these babies (the ones that you will NEVER FIND in online shops), we'll talk about them and have a mini-review. This does NOT include CDs and DVDs.
+ PUBLIC ADS - We call them TV commericals (CM). We call them poster ads. We call them flyers! We call them billboards! Well, actually just the TV commercials, since we can't actually get to see the other types of print media...
+ REVIEWS - General reviews on what I think of the group's latest CD release, DVD release, an episode from their regular variety shows, their TV dramas, etc. etc.
+ SINGLES & ALBUMS - Self-explanatory. This also includes tracks not commercially released (ie., the solos that the guys sing in concerts but you won't get to hear the "official" versions on CD's... you know where I'm getting at...).
+ STORMY BLOGS - You know, we're not the only ones who have blogs. The stormy dudes have blogs too! This section is what you think it should be--- translations of the latest blog entries straight from the members's blogs themselves! Most likely you will see here are Nino's "Game Nikki" and Sho's "ZERO ICHIMEN CASTER BLOG", since right now they're very active with their blogs.
+ TV SHOWS - Self-explanatory. This includes their variety shows (Mago Mago Arashi, G no Arashi, etc.), guest variety shows (Music Station, Utaban, etc.), and of course, their TV dramas and specials.
What you will NOT find in TSC...
+ Tabloid articles - This is where all the ugly rumors and gossip are found at--- infamous tabloid magazines. Personally, I have way too much respect to even make a big deal on these rumors or even mention them. I'm still down with the fellas, even if this ugly rumor adds a burden to their images. Besides, is it really OUR business as fans as to know every single little detail about their personal lives? I've got my own personal life to think about. I got no time to meddle with other people's lives... and all other fans should also worry about their lives as well, right? Please don't ask us to write about it or even discuss about it anywhere in TSC or anywhere else...+ Gossip/Rumors heard from other fan message boards, LJ Communities, and other open communities! TSC only provides you with true core FACTS about ARASHI. This ain't no Bubka or Friday, aight? Please do not ask us to confirm if ARASHI will come to your country or not. (this applies to foreign (non-Japanese-residing) fans, by the way...)
+ Rants and Rambles - We have our own personal blogs to write stuff like that...
+ Obsessive Fangirlism Implications - Okay, let's get real here. This blog is all about the group, the dudes, and their music FRESH FROM THE BIZ delivered to all of us fans! Besides, you wouldn't be enjoying ARASHI the same way that many of us would enjoy them. We do all our "fangirling" on our own time. Therefore, you should do your "fangirling" on your own time too. Don't waste your time "fangirling" here 'cuz this site ain't about all fangirlism, aight?
Why is TSC in Blog Format?
The reason why it's in this blog format is because it's easier to update and easier to keep track. It's also organized in to different categories, so you'll be able to find your specific article that you wanted to read that you may have missed being posted at the front page. We also hope that we'd be able to build a small community of readers and commentators, give us feedback (and praises if applicable) and help us on what we can do to improve by leaving a message in the comments section in any entry.
